Staging to sell or stay the Freedom way

Freedom have just launched their new products for Spring/Summer 2013.  If you are selling this Spring or just want to rejuvenate what you’ve already got then Freedom is worth a look.  The picture above is my family room with the Freedom cushions I bought last week. New cushions are one of the easiest ways to change the look of a room. Most men don’t understand this : )

Here are my picks of the new products whether staging to sell or stay:

Firstly, let’s talk pineapples.  Freedom have picked up on the pineapple trend. Whether you think this is a trend to stay or go the way of owls there is no denying that they are such a cheerful motif, especially for us Queenslanders  – and who doesn’t want to buy or live in a cheerful house?

Finding good but affordable artwork is an ongoing problem so these framed posters at just $99 each are a great find and can be hung almost anywhere in your house

The chevron trend is still going strong and these rugs are one way to introduce them.  Use a rug to anchor furniture within a room or as a play area in a rumpus.

My clients often struggle to find appropriate bed linen for a guest or teen room. This comforter is colourful without being ‘too much’  and is a fresh unisex look

I recommended these to a client only last week. Many of my clients have mismatched bedside tables or tables that are the wrong scale, look or size. These are a compact 50x50cm and have a clean yet warm look. Could also be used a side table

When you are selling a lifestyle to a buyer, it’s great to be able to show where they will drink their coffee in the sun. Most cafe sets are a bit boring. These add some lovely spring colour and you could always go the whole way and accessorise with a pineapple cushion!

  1. Great article. Interesting your comment about art being expensive. I agree, as a part time artist I am astounded by some of the prices on art work. What a shame. I love it when when some one loves a piece of work I do. I charge them for the cost of canvas, paint and effort. No more. They get a piece that doesn’t break the bank and I live happily with the knowledge that somewhere out there, lots of people get to see my work. Art is for all people not just the wealthy.
Your web site is terrific by the way.

Meredith. Thanks for commenting. I do find affordable art difficult to find. It’s either standard prints or bad canvases! I’ll pin you onto my pinterest board to keep you in mind for the future. Just had a look at your website and your seas are stunning : ) Let’s keep in touch
