Meet our founder

Hi, I’m Imogen Brown.

With a lifelong passion for both real estate and interiors, I launched Home Staging Brisbane in 2011 after careers in advertising and business coaching, I initially worked directly with homeowners as I didn’t think that real estate agents saw the value in what I did for my clients. But over the years – as I got to know more and more fantastic, client-focused agents whose beliefs aligned with mine – I came to realise that I enjoyed being part of the team, sales process and success of these agencies.

In doing so, I came to see the challenges that real estate agents face: being on-call all the time, trying to succeed in a highly-competitive industry and the ups and downs of winning listings and selling houses.

So, I decided to become the stylist who has their back. The property stylist who takes care of all their staging needs, so they can spend more time selling their listings. Someone who understands them and their business and can fit in as part of the team. Someone who can quietly work behind the scenes to help get real estate agents great results (which make their clients very happy).

It’s taken me a long time to get to this point, but the relationships I’ve developed along the way are truly rewarding. Together with a team of trained stylists and my furniture company contacts, I now work exclusively with some of the most successful agents in Brisbane.

So, if you’re looking for ways to reduce your workload, reduce your days on market and increase your commissions, do get in touch.

We’ll take care of it.

P.S. Described as a thought leader in the Australian Property Styling community, I also run an Instagram page focused on ‘The Business of Staging’, which promotes thought and discussion around everything but the cushions. Do check it out.

Ange Robertson

Stylist

With a visual arts, interior design and styling background (she used to work at Domayne Hire Qld), Ange is a valuable addition to the Home Staging Brisbane team. Her favourite part of styling is unpacking the tubs because it feels like Christmas and her least favourite part of the job is ironing beds during Brisbane summers. Ange loves working with people and says that having people entrust their home to her, in sometimes difficult circumstances, is an honour.

Leah Earnshaw

Stylist

Leah has experience in both real estate and visual merchandising. Her dad was a builder and she can walk into any house and immediately see how it could be improved. Leah loves to create a house that buyers will fall in love with and also loves the reaction from her sellers when they see the staging for the first time. Leah is a great asset as she is cool calm and collected. Whatever happens, she just gets on with what needs to be done.

Caitlin Laycock

Assistant Stylist

Caitlin has a Diploma of Interior Design and experience in using Interior Design software. Her favourite part of property styling is turning a house into a home.  Her strength is being able to envision how a space will look once styled. She loves visualising room layouts and design ideas that would work functionally and effectively for prospective buyers. Caitlin’s calm personality and limitless stamina is much appreciated on install day.

Success charity partnerships

As we help agents become more successful we aim to help others become successful too. $50 from each property we stage is donated to Dress for Success and Suited to Success. These charities help provide those seeking employment with suitable clothing to wear to interviews and the workplace. We also arrange a yearly clothes donation drive within the real estate community.
